Procedure for obtaining a quotation
We require the following minimum information in order to process a quotation within 24 hours:
- Company name, client’s name and/or representative’s name;
- full contact details, including telephone (landline and mobile), email, fax and mailing address;
- the most detailed description available of the brief, including type and title of document, services required, format, extent (number of pages or words, tables, illustrations, etc.), style guide (if any), the format of the work required (edited hard copy or on-screen via MS Word with track changes), and method of delivery (delivery via email or mailed hard copy);
- the date when the document will be provided as well as the deadline for the return of the finished work;
- a representative sample (e.g. if a book, a representative sample would be a synopsis and three chapters), preferably submitted electronically in MS Word, portable document format (.pdf) or other commonplace format (we’ll need the whole text in MS Word when we do the actual work of course); and,
- any other aspects of the assignment that have an obvious cost implication (for example, if we have to travel to meet the client, there may be transport and accommodation costs).
Our quotations are valid for a period of fourteen days from the date of issue. Our standard terms and conditions are appended to the quotation form. If the quotation and terms are acceptable, the client enters into the contract by signing and returning the quotation to us.
